for installation of IBM Installation Manager
1.First, Check which Installation Manager(IM)version is
installed in your box.
In my article I
installed IM 1.6.2 version. Now I will update IM 1.6.2 to IM 1.7.
check the version by
using below procedure
Open
Installation Manager.
Help-------> click on About IBM Installation Manager.
In
this article, I downloaded latest IM pack
which is based on my system configuration. So, download IBMIM pack based on your system
configuration like window 32 bit & 64 bit.
I am using windows 7 64 bit. IM pack software comes like this
com.ibm.cic.agent.offering_1.7.0.20130828_2012.zip
2.unzip this zip file.
3.Open the Installation Manager by using IBMIM command for admin
and launcher for user.
4.Now follow the steps to
update IBM Installation Manager.
a)Add the repository
to update IM. Follow the steps to add repository file.
File------->References-------->Add
repository-------->click on browse
select
repository file from IBM installation Manager pack (i.e. com.ibm.cic.agent.offering_1.7.0.20130828_2012
folder which is downloaded).
b)select the
"search for Installation Manager updates" check box. To select this
check box follow the steps
File------->Preferences--------> click on updates-------->Then
select the "search for Installation Manager updates" check box.
c) click on update.
d)It will ask to
update. So, click on "yes".
e)After completing
this process, click on ok to restart IBMIM.
5)Now check the IBMIM version. That's it.
Help------->
click on About IBM Installation Manager.
